About this app

Blitzz provides users a user friendly, feature rich solution for remote video inspections and customer support over live video without an app download. Customer Support techs can remotely see a customer's equipment and then can use Blitzz to diagnose and solve the problem remotely. They can also markup images to collaborate on solutions and get tips about where they could get stuck while doing repairs.

Functionality (at a high level) includes:

  • High-resolution image capture from live video

  • Time stamped images with accurate GPS locations

  • Image markup

  • Image zoom

  • Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to extract text from images such as building address, product reference numbers

  • Screenshare

  • Pointer feature to point at things on the video call

  • Network quality display of people on the call

  • Integrations with other applications and much more...

How it works:

Agents can use the Zendesk integration to send an SMS, Email or WhatsApp message to the end user and initiate a video call without an app download. Images and other artifacts from the support session are saved back to the Zendesk Ticket.

Privacy Notice:

Data Accessed:

  • Agent email address, name, and role - for authentication with Blitzz services

  • Zendesk subdomain - to identify the account

  • Ticket ID and context - to associate video sessions with current ticket

Data Used:

  • Agent credentials are transmitted to Blitzz servers to authenticate and establish video support sessions

  • Session images and notes are written back to Zendesk tickets as requested by agents

Data Stored:

  • OAuth tokens - to maintain secure connection between Blitzz and Zendesk

How it works:

Installation steps:

  1. Install the Blitzz App in your Zendesk environment. (Instruction here)

  2. During the installation (and after as well), you can set restriction on who can access the Blitzz app. (Instruction here)

  3. Once you have installed the Blitzz app in your Zendesk environment, please contact contact@blitzz.co for activation of service.
